Arcadian Bank is a great example of living your motto. Community owned. Community focused. Arcadian has stepped up in numerous ways, and we see the work you've done and the impact you've made as community leaders.
On a daily basis, UWFC sees the impact that Arcadian Bank has on our community. From channeling your inner Barbie to support Breast Cancer research, playing Dealer at our 2022 Casino Night, loaning us the trailer to help us move, supporting our 4 legged community members and the efforts of the REACH team, Arcadian is leading the way in the philanthropic efforts and making a difference every day.
Here at United Way of Freeborn County, we're making a difference too.
Our United Way funds PROGRAMS in our community - not agencies. They also work with our community to meet needs as they arise. Some examples of the community needs addressed include:
- Opened the Welcome Food Pantry in our brick-and-mortar location June of 2023
- Assisting with Food Insecurity through various local program grants (including the Food for Backpacks Program)
- Assisting with the Child Care Crisis through grants to provide scholarships
- The annual Winter Gear Drive working directly with school social workers, families, and our community to provide winter gear for families in need
- The United Way Dolly Parton Imagination Library provides books for children ages birth-5 years old each month to enhance early literacy
- Assisting families to help address family needs and/or access assistance programs via the 2-1-1 program
- Operating the Jingle: A Holiday Giving Program, to fill in the gaps for those not served by other holiday programs
Community Owned, Community Focused is a motto we can identify with. Decisions are made at a local level, with local volunteers serving on our Board of Directors and our committees. We're grateful for the support that Arcadian has given to United Way as we strive to be the central place to connect our community with the resources they need the most.
