Patty Stanley reads the book she wrote, ”Ava Finds a Home,” to a group of Alden Conger students.
Excerpt: “Hi! My name is Ava. Not long ago, I was adopted into a wonderful family. This is my story…About a year ago, I didn’t have a family. I was in a boarding kennel because no one wanted me. My real sister and I were found by a farmer who couldn’t keep us. He called the Humane Society. My sister was adopted by a family in Wisconsin who already had two dogs. They thought four big dogs would be too many so they left me there alone.”
