Mayo Clinic Health Care System has been a loyal supporter of United Way of Freeborn County's effort for over 20 years. From helping at United Way events such as our Pop Up Pantries by providing interpreters to engaging on community wide forums such as the Community Health Care Collaborative and participating in fun events such as Wind Down Wednesday and competitive parking lot spot raffles, MCHS leads the way in showing our community what it means to live United. 

By participating in our annual campaign, employees have the opportunity to be a voice for their causes. This is YOUR United Way, with an all local volunteer Board of Directors, and YOUR non-profit agencies serving YOUR community.

We see what YOU'RE doing too. We recognize that Heath Care workers have had a challenging year, and it's not over yet. Daily, healthcare workers are seeing the best and worst moments in the lives of our community. Here at United Way of Freeborn County, we know that our healthcare workers--from the doctors in the ER to the intake coordinators manning the phones are faced with life altering situations every single day.

When it comes to accessing health services, a person’s zip code should never be a deterrent to success, nor should it be a barrier to improved health. Yet for many, that’s a daily reality. By making it easier for individuals to access substance abuse programs, receive quality health care and access nutritious foods, we’re fighting to help everyone get—and stay—healthy.

UWFC strives to become the resource center for healthcare workers to turn to when they need to make a client referral. When the power of United Way and Mayo Clinic Health System combine, along with other partners in our communities, we become United.
